1. Our Role in the Education Ecosystem

Retensiq functions as a service provider to educators and educational institutions.

Schools, districts, and teachers determine how the platform is used within their academic environments.

Retensiq processes student submissions only to provide the assessment and analysis tools requested by educators.

2. FERPA-Aligned Data Practices

Retensiq is designed to support institutions in meeting obligations under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

Retensiq processes Student Data solely:

When used by a school or educator, Retensiq operates as a school official with legitimate educational interest, processing student information solely for the purpose of delivering the Service.

We do not use student information for unrelated commercial purposes.

3. Limited Data Collection

Retensiq collects only the information necessary to provide the Service.

This may include:

• Student assignment submissions
• Responses to assessment questions
• Teacher feedback and evaluation inputs
• Basic account information such as email address and role

We do not collect unnecessary personal information from students.

4. No Sale of Student Data

Retensiq does not sell, rent, or trade student data.

Student information is never used for:

• Advertising
• Marketing targeting
• Data brokerage
• Profiling unrelated to the educational purpose of the Service

5. Use of Student Submissions

Student assignments and responses submitted to the platform are used solely to provide the analytical tools and evaluation support requested by educators.

Users retain ownership of submitted materials.

Retensiq processes this information only to operate and improve the Service.

6. AI and Automated Analysis

Retensiq may use automated systems, including machine learning models, to analyze submitted assignments and generate evaluation questions or insights.

These tools are designed to assist educators in assessing student understanding.

The results generated by the Service are intended to support academic evaluation and should not be used as the sole basis for academic or disciplinary decisions.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Educational institutions and educators maintain control over how student submissions are used within their workflows.

Users may request deletion of submitted content or account information.

When a deletion request is received, Retensiq will remove associated information from the platform within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required for legal or operational purposes.

8. Data Security

Retensiq uses industry-standard technical and administrative safeguards to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

These measures include secure infrastructure, access controls, and encryption where appropriate.

We continually work to maintain the integrity and security of the platform.
